International Arbitration Lawyer, Partner to £2 million Back to List

London. US/ Global Firm with very punchy disputes offering has evolved a core arbitration team which needs reinforcing.

The London office of this US/ Global law firm has a sizable and punchy commercial disputes practice which has, without conscious design, evolved a significant international arbitration offering.

Whilst the firm views “a dispute as a dispute” and eschews the strict dichotomy between international arbitration and commercial litigation matters favoured by some firms, it is fair to say that a dozen of its lawyers now focus almost exclusively on commercial international arbitration.  Matters are predominately LCIA, ICC and, increasingly, SIAC. Current disputes include: pharma, energy/ power, ECP and hospitality.

Although the workflow has been “unbelievable”, at present, the team is underpinned by just one partner, who now focuses the bulk of their time on international arbitration. This partner (and the wider team) feel that an additional connected lateral will help both smooth the workflow and exploit the many opportunities the truly global platform produces.
