Derivatives Lawyer, Partner to £500,000 plus Back to List

Although still a reasonably bonsai offering within a much larger finance team, the structured products group at this upper-quartile full-service law firm has been blisteringly successful over the past five years scooping up mandates from banks, debt funds, insurance companies and pensions funds.

Whilst the law firm has partner-level derivatives support in Europe, some specialist senior non-partner support in London – not to mention the structured products partners themselves knowing “enough about derivatives to be dangerous”, the law firm considers that it is losing mandates (both pure derivatives work and wider derivatives-heavy structured products matters) on account of it not having partner-level derivatives capability in London.

The structured products team is keen to fill this lacuna with a derivatives partner to undertake both transactional derivatives matters and, ideally, any related regulatory work.

Whilst the firm does not expect you to have a meaningful following, evidence of such will go towards quantum.
